New Hire/Newly-Eligible Associate Enrollment Instructions
To elect benefits for the current plan year, you must enroll within 31 days of hire.
Associates should call the HBC Benefits Service Center at the number below to discuss your options, ask your questions, and make your enrollment elections with a Benefits Counselor.

MONDAY - FRIDAY, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (ET)
Please note, it may take 5-10 business days from your date of hire or status change for your information to be available in the enrollment system. If that is the case, you will have 31 days from the date your record is available to make your elections.
You MUST complete the enrollment process over the phone within 31 days of your date of hire or date of status change to elect or waive benefits. If you do not take action, you will not have coverage other than the HBC-provided benefits.
If you elect coverage for a spouse, domestic partner, or civil union dependent, you MUST complete the Certification of Marriage, Civil Union, or Domestic Partnership. The certification can be returned by uploading it through the HBC benefits page, sending an email to HBCVerify@mybenefitexpress.com, or via fax to 1-224-828-7337 within 31 days of enrollment.

All full-time and part-time Associates eligible for HBC health and insurance benefits have access to a confirmation statement online. Be sure to review the confirmation statement carefully to ensure it accurately reflects your elections. If any corrections are necessary, call the HBC Benefits Service Center at 1-800-498-8705.
